Sue has received many testimonials from clients whose lives have been changed following their allergy tests, and the subsequent changes made to their diets. Here is a particularly moving testimonial from a client who had been suffering with severe eczema throughout her life:

Hi Sue,

I just wanted to send you this email to say thank you for all that you have done for me, I never knew how much difference it could make to my skin to cut out certain foods. My skin was so bad that i constantly use to be itching it. The worst area was my face and neck. I use to get regular skin infections and use to be on a course of antibiotics on a regular basis. My skin used to be burning red, very very dry, cracked and very weepy. It has been about 5 months now since i have cut out all dairy and wheat from my diet and the change to the skin is amazing. In the beginning, however, when i first began to cut out the foods, i found it tremendously difficult and felt that after all the hassle and struggle nothing would change. However, after a week, my skin got really bad and i wasn't sure what had happened. But as you had advised, this would happen i was not so worried. After all, it wasn't like my eczema was under control before, so i was adamant to keep going.

In relation to the eczema, i occurred major pigmentation marks all over my face, my neck and various area's of the body, especially the arms and the bottom half of my back and stomach. My face and my neck were the worst area's and i still have a lot of pigmentation marks around my eyes, mouth, cheeks and all over the neck. However, i have noticed that since i have cut out the dairy from my diet, these marks are gradually fading. I have had eczema since the age of 5 and i am now 22. My skin got really bad when i started secondary school, when i was about 14 years old. I have tried all sort of treatments, such as Chinese herbal medicines, wet wraps, ultra-violet lighting, wet wraps on my face, patch tests, and more herbal medicines from different people. I have tried 3 different herbal medicines at different times and each one was very experience, and a waste of time. I saw no improvement in my skin and each time i was told that this would change, but it never did. I also, went to numerous dermatologists and a number of different hospitals, but all they would give me was steroids to put on the affected area's and moisturisers to put on my face and body. The steroids at the time, calmed my skin down, but the minute i stopped using them, the eczema flared up again. The moisturisers were very thick and made my skin feel very heavy, and i would never feel comfortable in wearing nice clothes.

Form the time that i started this treatment, i have stopped using steroids and the moisturisers that the doctors prescribed. I now use a mild moisturiser, which doesn't make me feel like i have 20 layers on my skin. It has been about 4 months since my skin has stopped cracking, bleeding and weeping. My skin is not as dry as it use to be and i haven't had any skin infections, which i use to get on a monthly basis.

As well as the change to my skin, i also feel a lot more confident in myself and am able to enjoy going out with friends and interacting with others without be self-conscious about my face and what others are thinking when they are looking at me. When my skin would flare up, i would lock myself in the house and would not go out or communicate with anyone. I found it tremendously difficult to even face my own mum, and there was nothing that she could say or do, that would make me feel better. I have lived with this condition for most of my life and to me all i ever thought about was my skin condition and what would happen to my skin the next morning. I became obsessed with it to a point where i thought nothing else mattered in my life and that no one could ever love me, not even my family.

Looking back at what my life use to be like and what it is now, i can't believe this is really me. At times i have to pinch myself to make sure this isn't a dream. Before i couldn't even talk about my condition to the people i loved the most and now i can tell a stranger about the pain I've been through and how I've come through it all.

I hope that my story helps change someone else's life and my advise to anyone out there, would be that if you are determined to get your problem under control, you have to work really hard and try different treatments, in order to find the right one for you. I know this is easier to say then to do, but believe me when i say that no one knows your skin better then you do and in order to help your skin, you have to do what you feel is right for it, and its not easy. I would, however, 100% recommend this treatment and will continue to spread the word about it to whoever i feel needs it.

Once again, i would like to thank you and would like to let you know that i really appreciate all your help, support and advice that you have given me over the past months.

Thank you so much Sue.

Take care, and best regards,
Faiza

Hi – I have been meaning to drop you a line to let you know how things are going. Firstly I want to thank you for the help you gave me, especially during the first few months after August last year when I started getting problems with my joints. I think you helped me to cope with what was a really difficult time for me. I had my last visit with the specialist on February 18th and have not had to go back since. He admitted to me that I had been right not to take the steroids and to let the problems take their course. Now I am much better – I would say I am 95% back to normal. I am still conscious that my joints are not quite as they were before all this happened, but I don’t have the stiffness or any pain in my toes now in the mornings upon waking and I can now wear heels again after about 7 months in mostly 2 pairs of flat boots! I have been swimming regularly over the last few months and in the last month have started going to the gym again and have seen the personal trainer there to work out a routine for me.

I think your advice enabled to feel more in control of things when I felt totally out of control. I have since read a lot of books on healthy eating and “super foods” and have incorporated them into my diet. I have given up coffee and orange juice completely and have not had any now since last august. I have also made other adjustments and have soya milk instead of ordinary milk now and the sinuses seem better. I also don’t eat tomatoes in salads anymore either. I have manuka honey and hot water instead as this is supposed to be very good for you. I am eating bread and wheat products but not as much as before. I would find it very hard to give up these completely as they are so much a staple of our normal household.

I have an appointment with my GP this week as I still have to deal with the Helicobactor Pyloris bacteria that they found last year which can cause stomach cancer if left untreated, but as I had a lot of antibiotics for my joints I didn’t want to take any more until now. I am taking the pre-biotic and pro-biotic tablets as well still from time to time as you suggested. I still have a few niggles and my “itchy finger” seems to let me know when it is not happy with something I have eaten and flares up from time to time. I think I am getting better a coping with the chlorine in the swimming pool, whilst I still sneeze and my nose runs, it doesn’t seem to carry on all night like it did before and interrupt my sleep. It will be interesting to see how I get on as hayfever season approaches as I never was a sufferer with this, but noticed a few symptoms last year. Again, I will try and cure this naturally.

I will see how I get on in the coming months and after taking the next lot of antibiotics and will arrange to see you again after that for further review. You may also get a visit at some stage from my husband as I think he too could do with some help. I will give him your details.

In the meantime, thanks for everything.

"I had suffered extremely bad eczema on my hands for over 4 years and the Doctors could do very little apart from prescribe stronger steriod creams. These I used every day with no real improvement in the condition of my hands. I saw the advert for Allergy Test UK and wondered if my diet might have something to do with it. The testing was really very simple and very comprehensive. In the end there were about 10 specific items I had to avoid for a period of 8 weeks. I had a few follow up phone calls to clarify my diet after the initial test, but the results after that period were fantastic. I really could not belive that, having had this condition for so many years, my skin was completely clear again. There are still a few things I need to watch with my diet but I would never have found this out without the Allergy Test. Many, many thanks."
